  1. We wanted a temporary coop to house 10 baby chicks for a couple weeks until our big coop arrives. When we found this one we were really excited. It seemed too good to be true. And it was. First, I don’t think this coop would house more than 3-4 full sized chickens. But, my biggest issue is when we got this coop half the pieces were broken in shipping making it impossible to assemble. The instructions that come with it are atrocious. They show the pieces but not which screw goes where. I strongly advise passing on this coop. You will only be disappointed.

  2. This thing is not worth $5, the bolts were just thrown in the box, the instructions were just a picture with a hole in the paper, pieces were broke, its put together cheap with just staples and glue. the nesting box doesn’t line up. The door was horrible to get open. I will be complaining to this company, I didn’t spend this kind of money to be ripped off.

  3. Coop arrived and some of the pieces had come apart and one piece of the wood holding pieces together was broke and I had to fasten a new piece from some wood I had. Had to use a lot of my own screws and wood glue to put together. Added 2×4′s to the bottom for stability. Took the drawer rails off the floor because it did not work very well, since I added 2×4′s to bottom, the floor slides on top of them. I am pleased with end result but if I did not have the tools and fasteners that I did, I would not have been able to put together and would have sent back. The nails/staples that they use to connect the pieces do not hold up well with shipping. I think it will be the right size for our 3 chickens. I am sure I will need to add more screws over time but I’m glad to have something that does look nice for under $200 (with shipping). I do see that the price went down, it is worth it as long as you know what your getting and what you’ll need to do do put it together.

  4. the coop arrived in a timely manner, the instructions are just pictures but is fairly easy to assemble. We did however put extra nails and screws in places as it is constructed with mostly staples. I’m not too crazy about the floor but it is metal so you can remove and wash it. We added polyurethane to help with weathering. It is not quite as big as I thought it would be but my four chickens seem happy with it but I doubt more chickens would fit comfortably. I didn’t expect anything fancy with the low price of this coop but I am pleased with it even though I had to add more nails and screws.
